Conditions and Conditions of Rental
Reservations:
All reservations are made according to the vehicle category and not for a specific model. In case of non-availability of a vehicle in the default category, with regard to a confirmed reservation, VSTAR reserves the right to provide the customer with a larger category car, without charge of the customer.
Guide:
Minimum age 23 years for the use of vehicles I.C.E. , F.I.E. category V1,V2,V3 and 25 years for category V4.
Driving licence:
A valid driving licence is required for the Greek territory and the EU, issued at least 1 year before the date of commencement of the lease. Citizens of countries outside the EU are required to have an international driving licence in force, together with the presentation of the national driving licence.
Calls – Fines:
Calls and fines as a result of infringements of the Road Traffic Code charge the Employee. The Salary shall also undertake, where appropriate, the payment of the management costs.
Payment method:
The tenant is required to provide a debit/credit card as a guarantee for rent, even if the payment is made with cash money. Rent is prepaid.
Guarantee:
For rents in Greece, upon receipt of the vehicle a guarantee amount will be committed to the driver's credit/debit card, for each vehicle, which will be returned automatically at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. The release of the amount can last up to 20 days depending on the issuing bank of the card. The amount of the guarantee differs by category of vehicle. More detailed:
Category V1,V2 : 300,00€, Category V3 : 350,00€, Category V4 : 400,00€, Category E.I.E. : 350,00€
Cancellations
Cancellation of the reservation must be done at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled date and time of start of the rental of the vehicle, (according to the exact time of booking), as was done in the company's booking system. If you wish to cancel a reservation, you will contact the company through the booking system.
The following charges will apply to cancellations:
In the event of a cancellation notice received by Vstar at least seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled start of the vehicle rental, any amount paid in advance will be refunded.
In the event of a cancellation notice received by Vstar in less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the planned start of the rental of the vehicle, no amount of money that may have been paid in advance will be refunded.
Deliveries – Off-hour pick-ups at stations:
Client Charge 25€+VAT.
Deliveries – Off-station pickups:
Off-station deliveries and deliveries shall be made at the customer's request. The charge for delivery of deliveries in cities is 15€+VAT/street, while for deliveries received within the Attica basin the cost is 30€+VAT plus 1,79€+VAT per km/h.
Additional Guide:
The charge for each additional driver is 5€+VAT/day up to 5 days and 3,5€+phpa/day from 6 and above days. The maximum number of drivers shall be fixed at 3 persons by consultation.
Child seat:
The child seat charge is set at 5€+phpa/day at customer's request and company availability.
Snow Chains:
The snow chains charge is 10€+phpa/day at customer's request and company availability.
Fuel:
The tenant must return the car with the same amount of fuel he received. If the car is returned with less fuel than the original (i.e. the amount of fuel the customer received the vehicle) the customer shall bear the fuel difference and service charge 15€+b. No compensation is provided for the customer if the car is returned with a greater amount of fuel than received. The vehicles shall be delivered with a minimum amount of fuel corresponding to 1⁄4 of the tank.
Millimeters:
For rentals longer than 3 days they are free kilometres 70 km/day up to 2500 km. For rentals less than 3 days, prices include a 150 km/day limit. In the latter case, if the lessee wishes free kilometres he can choose the free km package at a charge according to the price list. Otherwise, each additional kilometre above 150 km/day will charge the customer upon returning the vehicle at a charge according to the price list per category.
Accident:
In the event of an accident the customer shall bear 15€+the costs of managing the accident file.
INSURANCE:
CDW – Damage caused payment exemption:
The tenant is fully exempt from liability for any damage to the car:
- over 800€ +VAT if it accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company's contract for categories VP,VD,V1,V2
- over 1000€ +VAT if it accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company contract for categories V3, V4
- over 1500€ +VAT if it accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company contract for categories V5,V6, V2F(F),V3F(F),V4F,V5F
- over 900€ +VAT if it accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company's contract for categories IX and subcategories IX.
- over 1000€ +VAT if it accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company's contract for categories IX and subcategories IX (D,E)
Insurance Limits:
Vehicles are insured against third parties (excluding drivers) for death and physical damage up to a million two hundred and twenty thousand euros (1,220,000,00)€) by accident and for third party material losses (excluding VSTAR's vehicle) up to EUR 1 million two hundred and twenty thousand (1,220,000,00 million)€). In the event of a change in the above limits, the thresholds will always apply, as determined by the Greek legislation in force. Losses exceeding the limit of insurance coverage or excluded from it will be paid entirely by the customer.
LW: Tyre cover and crystal break:
The tenant shall be fully exempt from liability for any damage to the car’s tyres or crystals only if he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pays the amount of:
10€+phpa/ rental day for all categories E.I.E., V1,V2,V3,V4.
Steal / Fire:
The tenant shall be fully exempt from liability for any damage to the car in the event of fire or theft if he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company's contract and pays the amount of: 10€+VAT/day of rent for all categories E.I.E., V1,V2,V3,V4
The main condition for this is that there is no negligence, even slight, or that unlawful acts are carried out during the rental of the vehicle.
Road Help:
VSTAR cars are covered 24 hours by road assistance. The contact details of road assistance shall be indicated in the lease.
Transportation of a car outside the border:
The transport and driving of the car outside the borders of the Greek Territory is prohibited. Exceptionally only after written permission of the company and the payment of the amount to be determined by the company is allowed to drive the car off the border
Transport of a car by ship:
A written approval of the company is required to carry the car by ship.
Roof rack:
Available in some types of vehicles in consultation with VSTAR and the charge is 3€+phpa/day.
Vehicle Gps:
-In the context of the personal data protection policy of the new Regulation 2016/679, we have to inform the tenant party that for reasons of legal interest of our company and in particular the safety of vehicles in cases of theft, damage or any other criminal offence, GPS trackers are installed that are activated 24/7. Recording of these shall be made discreetly without prejudice to personal or other data.
- Our Company does not transmit, does not communicate, does not disclose personal information to third parties. Our company may disclose personal data in order to respond to requests from courts, judicial authorities, government or law enforcement authorities either where required or prudent to comply with applicable laws, judicial decisions or rules or orders from courts or courts. Notifications of personal data may also be required for controls concerning the protection of personal data and security and/or for investigation or response to a complaint or security threat.
